This is not just a review of this guy. It's of the whole tile cleaners business which I give a 1 out of 10.
Problems:
Technician not wearing any ID, uniform or badged vehicle. Nothing like website impression.
No idea what product was put onto the tiles. No empty container left.
Very little communication with person on site.
Product put on with risk of rain, when product clearly states it needs 24hrs to cure without getting water on it.
But it wasn't just technician who appeared to not fully understand product. It was also sales staff/booking staff on main contact line. It shouldn't have to explain if it rains (which it did 8 hrs later) , there needed to be a reapplication of the product. This is as per manufacturers guidelines. Something I also later confirmed with manufacturer.
The product was not put on all the tiles surface. Left of the coping around pool.
Possible scratch marks left on limestone after brush cleaning (which was inadequately explained before hand) I did not want brush cleaning
All up a 1/10 experience. Extremely Over priced. One of the worst trade experiences I have had in over 3 major renovation jobs.
I will not be recommending you to anybody else in the building or landscape industry. To the contrary: there will be an "avoid at all costs".
Pasan was very pleasant and did an excellent job. He was unfortunately an hour and a half late, arriving after 10am when the appointment was booked for 8.30. I had two real estate agents attending at 10 and it was difficult to hold the meeting with the noise of the cleaning outside the kitchen. Disappointingly after arranging for Pasan to return the following day at 9am to seal the tiles, he rang at 9am to rearrange the time and turned up around 10.30am. This was very inconvenient as I had already rearranged my childrens' activities to accomodate the 9am time. I am unaware as to the reason why and if it is because the company is not scheduling its work adequately or scheduling too many jobs for one person, you may like to consider the impact of this on both customers and your workers. Hi Team, Pasan is a lovely person. The slate looks great, however I'm just a tad disappointed that some grout fill ins were done using black grout which doesn't quite match. I left the house just after the slate was cleaned, so did not see the colour of the grout which was being used to fill holes. My hubby was home but he was in his office working and could not oversee the job. Where our grout needed some darkening, it doesn't look as though the colour has darkened at all, however Pasan did say to wait a month or two and it may darken up. I'm happy to do that, but if it doesn't you will need to return to rectify. There were quite a lot of paint dots on the slate, some of which we pointed out to Pasan, which he removed, however others not pointed out were overlooked and sealed over. It's not a big deal, but I would have thought there should have been more attention to detail. Overall, I am satisfied of the good job which was done and would certainly use your services again. We were very happy with the result that was achieved and both workers did a very good.
The best thing about our experience with Pasan was that he was very clear about our paver cleaning options, and the costs involved, as well as the suggestions for how to maintain our pavers in the excellent condition he and his colleague were able to achieve with their cleaning and sealing work.
Generally, the job was satisfactory but I was disappointed that a better job was not done at stripping the tiles in the kitchen. I think that with a little more effort the tiles could have been stripped of all the build up of wax etc. The final finish was a bit of a let down. I was hoping for a nice polished surface but for the most part the finish was flat. It seems that the tiles needed a third or a fourth coat of polish to achieve the desired result.

Pasan notified us that he would be late for the 1400hrs booking. He arrived at 1430hrs but said he was waiting for his colleague to attend- they did not start work until 1700hrs. Their equipment was dirty and dripped water on the floor which leaked onto the carpet. They had filthy towels to mop up the water. The example tile he cleaned in the shower recess was the only clean tile once they had finished. There was still soap scum on the floor of the shower which indicated the poor job in cleaning the floor. Two tiles were replaced in the kitchen one of which is raised. When the raised edge and the dirty shower was pointed out to Pasan he made excuses and refused to concede the job wasn’t done properly. There are numerous clips on the tiles as a result of the ‘cleaning’. Altogether it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I absolutely DO NOT recommend Pasan as a tile cleaner. Very unprofessional.
I am appalled by the service received by Passan:
(1) 1.5 hours late
(2) charged more than original quote with no explanation
(3) did an absolutely terrible job
(4) forced me to pay despite me expressing dissatisfaction with the work
(5) wasn't able to return on promised day to repair work as promised by office staff (I'd taken day off work to be there)
(6) turned up 1 hour 40 min late the next day (I did not stick around to wait)
(7) office promised to send someone else another day
(8) Passan turned up again instead of someone else - 30 min late this time
(9) Job was still substandard but it's been such a hassle that I am giving up on asking for someone to fix this.
I will never use nor recommend your company and if I don't receive a reply to this message will be contacting management.
(A by-note is that at the office, Hunter was polite, kind, patient, and a great communicator).
I am disappointed with this service. My booking was for 2pm 15/9/18, and the technicians arrived at 330pm. I was under the impression I had been forgotten, I received no communication along the way to say they had been delayed or what time they had been there.
I am also incredibly disappointed with the quality of the work - the sealing solution was dripped all over my shower frame, and as a result it has been irreversibly stained.
The service was great and so was Pasan’s workmanship. The finished job was fantastic.
Our only complaint was they delay in getting started which was not Pasan’s fault.
I had a very good experience. Your company was punctual, you were not expensive and most importantly the quality of your work was excellent. I would recommend you to others. Kind regards Luke
All good, no hesitation to give 5 stars for all the questions above.
They did a great job - the marble looks like new and the bathroom floor looks great. There was care taken during the whole process and they even mopped my whole kitchen floor.
I was most impressed that Pasan brought in extra people in order to finish the job in the one day - they worked till very late - a pretty impressive team. Thank you.
Overall Pasan did a good job of stripping & sealing our slate floor,however, there was a misunderstanding over the instructions.
When I phoned Mark from Melb Tiles I was told that Pasan couldn't replace any tiles as they had different technicians depending on what needed to be done and if we wanted them replaced we would have to book another appt and there would be an additional cost of approx $200.
Perhaps this could've been made clearer during the Quotation process to avoid any confusion on the day.

Pasan was absolutely great, we would definitely recommend him and his work to others. Pasan transformed our courtyard pavers back to their original condition and we are still marvelling at how good the pavers look. Pasan was a great communicator too so he was super easy to deal with. We are so happy with the results.
I was happy with the work overall but am a little disappointed that after cleaning and sealing, the tiles have lost their polished shine. I suspect that this is normal with cleaning? Pasan was polite and the communication was good.

Work not completed to my satisfaction but Pasan listened & visited my premises post work & understood job requirements. Job was both tricky & detailed in one part but he committed to finding a solution for me & I am now 100% satisfied.
If you are looking for any after service at all do not consider this company. I informed them before Christmas that my (expensive) tile seal had not been successful. The tiles actually looked worse than before. I sent photos through 4 times in total and I was informed on 4 different occasions that someone would get back to me and that has not happened as yet. I have been very patient and perhaps that is my error. I have never posted a bad review but this company and its treatment of me has left me no choice.
Message both person that inintially booked job in with and sent photos of mess left no reply.
Arrived lated took 3 hours longer than should have and rushed at finishing. Slate did not come up well and deied all blotchy. Very expensive.
The team were very professional and explained everything they were about to do. They moved about the house with no impact to any part that was not being cleaned and resealed. The team gave me valuable advise regarding the final seal. Overall, very happy with the team that came out and with the finish. Thank You all.
Happy with the quality of work and execution by Pasan and entire Tile and Grout pro. Their updated communication and reminders made it easy for me. I have great confidence in their work and will definitely recommend.
We were happy with the job. There was no delay, the shower looks so much better. one thing though, we did not expect the grout dust to spread so far. if we were had been warned about it we could have covered things up and sealed doors etc. This is not a criticism of the job itself or of Pasan who did a good job. Very happy with the job carried out. Our dull vinyl floors looked amazing when cleaned and sealed.
The only thing I would suggest, is if our premises had of been inspected beforehand, we would have had a more accurate quote, but most importantly time frame. What we thought was going to be a four hour job ended up seven hours.
I thought we received a good job for the price we paid.

Tried to increase quoted work with work I did not want done. Failed to grout correctly and we had to get another trades person in to fix it. Despite us paying the invoice and having evidence they harassed us for money. Appalling service.

I had a terrible experience, where they didn't completely strip the seal, re sealed over existing seal and has left my floors looking terribly patchy. I am in the process of writing a formal complaint letter as I have been told they can't repair the damage as the stripper they use is to toxic, when It says clearly on the website and quote it is a NON toxic stripper.
We were reminded everyday that the appointment was coming up, and then it would be changed on the day, three times it was changed - day and time.
I left work to attend the house, and they were running two hours late, but I was not informed that it would be late. I had to chase it up and wait around.

Melbourne Tile Restoration communicated with me professionally. They completed the cleaning and resealing of pour slate floors on time and to a professional standard. I have no hesitation in commending Pasan and his colleague for the work performed.

Pasan was running a bit late because of a pressure hose replacement but was knowledgeable and efficient. They did a great job.

Issues raised on the 12th of September have still not been resolved some two weeks later. Have to follow up weekly but still no re-attendance.
This is not a criticism of Pasan, but of the quality of the sealant that has been used. After only a few months from this work being done, the tiles look as if they had never been cleaned. I certainly was furious to discover that no sealant had been applied under the refrigerator. I consider this a very costly and poor outcome.

We had very old slate tiles that had not been cleaned in about 10 years (they were in a garage). The technician put in extra effort to ensure the tiles were thoroughly treated and sealed and they look great. Very happy with the technician.
The grout on our floor was still very dirty after he had left. He excused it as marks he coukd not get off. I got on my hands and knees after and cleaned all the dirty marks out myself. With my daughters we recleaned the whole floor and got it looking good. We complained to your office and were told that there was no refund and they could come out again, but our son is getting married and we needed it done that day. We are very disappointed as we spent $550 for a job that had to be redone by ourselves. We would like a refund please. We are very happy to take this further if there is no refund.
Very polite, clean did a good job
Unfortunately my experience with your company was not positive, and here's why:
- the quote originally over the phone was for $400, and once the job was finished it costed $605. Despite the technician gaining consent for this before starting the job, I was unhappy with the costing as GST was not included in the cost, and had taken time off work for a job to be completed and could afford to take more time off work to decline the job due to costing, therefore decided to go ahead.
- the actual quality of the job was poor. Grouting was not removed and re-grouted, areas were just 'topped up' with white grout despite the old grout being a different colour (and we know this as we built the house and picked the grout colour).
- the technician asked to use my towels, plastic bags etc which were left wet, and dumped at the front door.
- the technician also asked to have access to my wifi ; agreed as thought it was required for the job however once my partner asked what for, the technician reported 'I had no data on my phone and needed to use it for personal use'.
- the technician gave me the name of cleaning products to use, however places were over an hour to the suburb I live in.
Overall, the quality of the job was not worth the money paid. Positive aspects were that the small bathroom tiled area was also cleaned to match shower base.
Pasan and his co-worker were very efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend this team to anyone.
The quoting system was not done well and there was initial misunderstanding between us. This was unresolved at the time.
I had explained exactly (specified) what I wanted and attached picture but this didn't appear to have been understood.
The process for attaching the picture is not done at right time.
Also the number of contacts is overdone.
I had the impression that staff I spoke to on the phone didn't undetstand the online process.

I was initially told the regrouting and resealing of my balcony would take 3 hours. In reality it took 3 visits and multiple follow ups from my end to complete. I would not go back for future tiling requirements unfortunately.
Please note that Ryan completed my job not Pasan.
The original scheduled session:
1. My job was scheduled to start at 9am on Saturday 24th March. The area was ready to be cleaned with all furniture having been moved on Friday night.
2. At 8.39 I received a call from 0423 011 301 informing me that someone would be at my home at 9.20.
3. At 9.30, 9.35 and 9.40 I called that number to check whether someone was on their way. None of these calls were answered.
4. At 9.45, Ryan arrived alone and measured the job.
5. During the measurement, Ryan let me know that he had another job scheduled at Toorak at 2pm.
6. Once the measurements and price were confirmed, Ryan asked me if I wanted to proceed which I confirmed. Ryan then walked away. Coming back he told me that he had been told by someone in the office that he couldn’t proceed as the weather meant that the sealant wouldn’t dry. Pasan told me on Sunday that it was Ryan who decided that it was too wet to proceed.
7. Ryan and another technician arrived on Sunday at 10 am to start the job, i.e. 25 hours post the scheduled time.
I raised a complaint. Below are some of the details associated with handling the complaint:
1. It took 2 weeks before anyone tried to contact me about my complaint. This was after 2 emails and 2 phone calls.
2. The actual email that I received in response to the complaint:
• Stated that I would be contacted within 24 hours. This did not happened.
• It asked that I provide a description with photos associated with my concern. I sent through the attached email on Monday 26th March with an attached photo. Why should I provide this again?
• It asks that I call 0423 011 301 if this is a time sensitive issue. Not only did I send an email on Monday 26th March, I called 0423 011 301 on Thursday 29th March and Thursday 5th April. Neither times was my concern dealt with.
The inspection associated with dealing with the complaint:
1. I stayed home and removed all of the furniture from my study and hall way.
2. I received a call at 1.20 pm, 10 minutes before the scheduled time asking if the job could be moved to Saturday or Sunday. When I said that I had taken the day off it to wait for your technician I was told that someone would be over at 4.
3. At 4.30 I called 0421 813 860 and was told that “I will call the technician and call you back”. 15 minutes later I called back and no-one answered; the phone going to voicemail.
4. I received a call from Ryan who told me he could be over at 6pm. I had been told that Ryan, who originally completed my job, wouldn’t be the one returning so this surprised me. Ryan told me that he confirmed that he could NOT do the job at 1.30 the night before it was scheduled to occur. Why wasn’t this passed onto me?
Pasan did a great job. He kept me informed the whole way through and suggested a cleaner for the floor going forward.
Pasan was great to deal with and the tiles look great. Recommend highly.

We are very happy with the result. Everything went smoothly and all avenues were clearly explained. We ended up paying less than we expected. We will use them again.
Technician very good. We're happy with communication from the company as well as quality of work. Our only complaint is the dust. Have you considered an extraction/ collection system to reduce the mess as well as creating safer working conditions for the technician.
There is minor damage to a couple of tiles from the machine and the guys were nearly 4 hours late. However Pasan did a great job on cleaning the tiles.
We especially valued Pasan's courtesy.
We are very happy with the work. Our floors look great and years younger!

Impressed with the professional manner of Pasan and the excellent result with our shower room.
One hour late to start with. Had me pretty cross as i had to pay for before school care to get there for our 8am booking and if it had been a 9am booking i could have saved that cost. I'm also very sure they were not held up by a prior job at that hour.
However the job was good and he communicated well, explaining the process thoroughly

Very poor customer service from the company. Would not recommend and will not use again.
The repair was done well and the guys who attended were good , however your customer comms was poor from your office . I had three rescheduled bookings for my job and poor comms each time after I had set aside time to be home for the tech to arrive
Was expecting people to view the job and give firm quote. Very nice men arrived, but to complete the job, not quote. As one area was compromised by what, I learned through them, was incorrect use of sealant, and ought have been removed prior to replacing the kitchen as the solvent was harsh, my advice was that, with a new correct coating, the surface would be improved by the correct sealant. And It was. For two weeks. Once completely dry, however, the milky colour became very apparent once more.
I am currently in the process of removing both the new and the old sealant myself!
A hard space to work in but the team did a great job bringing life back to my Travetine bathroom Thank you
